Light in the Landscape - Landscape Photography by Hadrian Frankland
In The Beginning............. there was light.

As a photographer, the need for light and the "Right light" is paramount but the question must be asked...What is the Right light? Is it warm Summer sunlight?, the cool light of a frosty Winters morn?, the so called "Golden Hour", before and after dawn or dusk? And the answer is? Any one of the above.... The light moves over the landscape adding warmth, shadow and most importantly atmosphere, forcing the seemingly dull and familiar into fascinating subjects, that beg for the human eye to cast a gaze over and record for eternity.
